William Hale (Wyoming politician)

William Hale ( born November 18, 1837 in New London, Henry County, Iowa; † January 13, 1885 in Cheyenne, Wyoming ) was an American politician ( Republican).

Hale attended public schools and then studied law. He was admitted as a lawyer with 21 years and then started practicing immediately. He joined the Republican Party and 1868 presidential elector for Iowa. President Chester A. Arthur appointed him on July 18, 1882 Governor of Wyoming Territory. His oath of office he took on 3 August 1882 and then held until his death in 1885 his office.
