William Henry Coleman

William Henry Coleman ( born December 28, 1871 in North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, † June 3, 1943 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1915 and 1917 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

William Coleman attended the common schools and graduated from the Columbian University, now the George Washington University, Jura afterwards. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1906 and 1909 he was mayor of the city of McKeesport; 1909 to 1915 he was employed by the court administration in Allegheny County. In June 1912 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in Chicago in part, to the President William Howard Taft to be unsuccessful re-election has been nominated.

After his 1913 was admitted as an attorney Coleman began working in Pittsburgh in this profession. In the congressional elections of 1914 he was in the 30th electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Melville Clyde Kelly on March 4, 1915. Since he has not been confirmed in 1916, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1917.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives William Coleman practiced as a lawyer again. He died on June 3, 1943 in McKeesport and was buried in Dravosburg.
