William J. Flynn
William J. Flynn (* 1867, † October 14, 1928 in Larchmont, New York) was an American government official. On 1 July 1919 he became the fourth director of the Bureau of Investigation ( BOI), emerged from the later, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). His office he resigned on 21 August 1921. During the First World War, he was employed by the Secret Service.
