William John McCart

William John McCartney ( born August 7, 1872 in Port Henry, New York, † 1933) was a Canadian politician (Ontario Liberal Party ).

McCartney attended the Berwick Public school and the Brockville Business College in Brockville, Ontario. He then worked as a clerk in Finch and Maxville, eventually founded his own business in Maxville and moved to two years after Avonmore, where he operated a general store.

From May 29 1902 to December 13, 1904, he was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. 1908 McCart was re-elected to the Legislative Assembly and was one of 8 June 1908 to 13 November 1911. He drowned in 1933 in Cornwall.

McCart was married since 1892.
