William Joyce (writer)

William Joyce ( born December 11, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana) is an American author. In addition to various newspaper articles and books for adults it is popular mainly for his children's books.

Activities

Joyce discovered early his talent for writing. He wrote exciting, if not always logical stories for almost every taste. Above all, his stories for younger children in the U.S. were bestsellers.

Among other things, he developed for Pixar Studios diverse characters for the films Toy Story and A Bug's Life. In 2005, Joyce and Chris Wedge Joyce wanted to film in the United States popular children's book Santa Calls. The project never materialized. In early 2007 filmed the Walt Disney Company Joyce's book Staying with Willi Robinson ( A Day with Wilbur Robinson ) and Meet the Robinsons. This film fell far short of expectations.

Joyce Currently lives with his wife and two children in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2012, he won for the animated short film, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore together with Brandon Oldenburg an Oscar.
