William Moore (musician)

William " Bill" Moore ( born March 3, 1893 in Dover, Georgia, † November 22, 1951 in Warrenton, Virginia) was an African-American blues singer and guitarist.

He was inducted as the only country blues singer from Virginia in 1928 in Chicago for the record label Paramount. Its 78 rpm records are highly sought after by collectors, be preserved on recordings repertoire, a total of eight songs, was re-released on a variety of LP and CD compilations. His compositions (eg Ragtime Millionaire, Old Country Rock, One Way Gal) have been was covered by a number of musicians, including Dave " Snaker " Ray, John Fahey, Stefan Grossman and Duck Baker, The Insect Trust, The Notting Hillbillies.
