William Parks (paleontologist)

William Arthur Parks ( born December 11, 1868 in Hamilton, Ontario, † October 3, 1939 in Toronto ) was a Canadian geologist and paleontologist Lawrence Lambe in the tradition.

After graduation in 1892, taught at the University of Toronto Parks 's in the disciplines of geology, paleontology and mineralogy. In 1900 he received the title of PhD.

Parks described the forms Arrhinoceratops (1925 ), Dyoplosaurus (1924 ), Lambeosaurus (1923 ) and Parasaurolophus (1923).

In his honor Parksosaurus was named.
