William Sheldrick Conover

William Sheldrick Conover ( born August 27, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia ) is a retired American politician. In the years 1972 and 1973 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

William Conover attended until 1946, the Lake Forest High School in Illinois. Then he studied until 1950 at Northwestern University in Evanston. Between 1952 and 1954 he served in the U.S. Navy. Then he hit as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. In the years 1959 and 1960, he stood in front of their youth organization in Mount Lebanon (Pennsylvania ); 1965 to 1966 he headed the Republican Club in the village of Upper St. Clair. His main job was working in the insurance industry. He was president of his company Conover & Associates, Inc.

After the death of Mr James G. Fulton Conover was at the due election for the 27 seats of Pennsylvania as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on April 25, 1972. Since he was not nominated at the regular elections this year by his party for re-election, he could only finish the current term in Congress until January 3, 1973.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives William Conover took his previous activities on again. Politically, he is no more have appeared. End of his life he spent in Pittsburgh.
