William Tombleson

Tombleson William (* 1795, † 1846 ) was an English artist, copper and steel engraver, author and publisher in London.

Tombleson was primarily known for his landscapes and descriptions: In the 1830s he published a considerable number of steel engravings and different books with picturesque views of the upper and middle Rhine and engravings with motifs of the Thames and the Medway River southeast England.

Tombleson recorded for the first volume of his Guide " Views of the Rhine " "... from Cologne to Mainz " 69 views, " engraved in the latest art, by the most eminent artists," were transferred in three languages ​​titled steel engravings.
