William Villiers, 10th Earl of Jersey

George Francis William Child Villiers, 10th Earl of Jersey ( born February 5, 1976 in Jersey), professionally known as William Villiers, is a British peer, film producer, actor and writer.

Education and Career

Jersey is the eldest son of guitarist George, Viscount Villiers and his second wife, Sacha ( born Valpy ). He went to the Mount House School, Tavistock, Devon; Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, and the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. Upon the death of his father on 19 March 1998, he was temporarily Viscount Grandison ( is in line with the family tradition, called according to the inherited alternately Viscount Villiers Viscount Grandison or ). He succeeded his grandfather in August 1998 as the 10th Earl of Jersey in 1999 and took his seat in the House of Lords, shortly before the reform of the House of Lords. Lord Jersey is the patron of several charities, but his main interest is sports, especially rugby. In 2008 he founded the Lord Jersey Rugby Cup rugby for school up to the age of 16 years.

Homestead

In 2007, the Earl of Jersey offered the family seat Radier Manor for £ 12.5 million on the sale, along with some land and 70 acres ( 280,000 m²) lands on Jersey, but the offer was later withdrawn.
