William Wirt Watkins

William Wirt Watkins ( born April 1, 1826 in Jefferson County, Tennessee; † January 15, 1898 in Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas) was an American politician from the 19th century.

Watkins was several times from 1856 to 1860, then after the war in 1866 and finally again in 1878, active in the Senate from Arkansas. In addition, he represented his home state of Arkansas in 1861 near the Secession Convention, and later the Provisional Konföderiertenkongress.

Watkins died in Harrison and was later buried in the Freeling - Watkins Cemetery in Bellefonte, Arkansas.
