Willie Dunn
Life and career
Born in 1941 in Montreal, dealt Willie Dunn, who owned both Scottish and American Indian ( Micmac ) ancestors, since the 1950s with contemporary folk music. Thematically, it dealt primarily with the natives while the North American continent. He often combined his photographs with texts set to music by Shakespeare, TS Eliot, Herman Melville, among others
In 1971 he published a self-made video clip, the first music video from Canada. In addition, he had staged several award-winning documentaries, written film music and deals with political self-government of Indian aborigines.
In Germany, his music has appeared at the Munich Trikont label.
