Willie Hoel

Willie Hoel ( born June 16, 1920 in Oslo, † June 15, 1986 ibid ) was a Norwegian actor.

Career

Hoel debuted in 1948 at Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim as George in the play Dirty Hands ( smutsiga handers ) by Jean -Paul Sartre. From 1951 to 1952, he was then employed at Oslo Riksteatret and then went from 1952 to 1956 and from 1956 to 1958 at the Folketeatret. In the period 1958-1959 was Edderkoppen teater and from 1959 he joined then regularly at Oslo Nye Teater, on. His best known performances in the theater, he had the title role of Ludvig Holberg's comedy in Jeppe of the Mountain ( Jeppe på Bjerget ) and in the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw as Alfred Doolittle and in the drama " The Defeat " ( Nederlaget ) by Nordahl Grieg, where he played the Courbet. Hoel was a character actor, especially in classical and modern comedies, which was also his particular profession.

In addition, he was involved in many other Norwegian film and television productions. He starred in more than 40 films, most notably in comedies such as 1959 in Fjols til fells and 1957 in Stov on Hjernen.
