Wilson (crater)

Wilson is an impact crater in the extreme southwest of the lunar front side, southeast of the crater Kircher and west of Klaproth. The rim is eroded, the crater floor largely flat.

The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU officially claimed by the Scottish astronomer Alexander Wilson, Scottish physicist Charles Thomson Rees Wilson and the American astronomer Ralph Elmer Wilson.
