Windgfällweiher

Stands under conservation

The Windgfällweiher is a lake between lake Titisee and Schluchsee in the south of Baden- Württemberg in the Black Forest. It is located between the villages Altglashuetten - Falkau and Aha in the field of Lenzkirch.

The relatively untouched by the visitor hubbub lake is located in a primitive, swampy woodland. It was created by glaciers in the Ice Age and was enlarged in 1895 by the former screw factory Falkau by a dam in the north. The lake is fed by the Kähnerbächle and dehydrated earlier to Haslach; Since 1932 he drained during the transition from Seebach and Rotmeerbach (Appendix Schluchseewerk of work) and the Schluch. Since 1950, the lake is under conservation.

The Windgfällweiher has on its east side a rather hidden in the forest bathing.

On Windgfällweiher the DreiSeenBahn passes, so the lake is one of the namesake of this railway line.
