The Windhoek College of Education (WCE ) was one of four teacher training colleges in Namibia, offering three-year diploma courses in Professional basic education for primary school and secondary school teachers: the Basic Education Teacher Diploma ( BETD ) to.

The university had its seat in the Andrew Kloppers Street in Windhoek Khomasdal, was founded in 1978 and 1990 together with the Khomas College of Education. She entertained in addition to the classrooms, a university library, a computer and art center and student residences.

With effect from 1 April 2010, the college went on in the Faculty of Education at the University of Namibia.
