The Wingecarribee River is a small river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales. It rises south-west of Wollongong in Robertson, a small town. The city lies between Macquarie Pass National Park and Budderoo National Park and is home of the title character in the movie Babe.

From its source the river flows northwest through the southern highlands of New South Wales, away from the sea. In Berrima he enters a narrow gorge and flows into the Wollondilly River at Tugalong.

On the plateau, which cuts through the river, is the famous Camp Biloela.

In its upper reaches, the river forms the Wingecarribee Swamp, the only significant Moor in New South Wales. Most of this bog was drained, but the remaining part serves as habitat for a number of endangered species.

As part of the Shoalhaven system water from the Shoalhaven River is in the Wingecarribee reservoir, an artificial lake at the source of the Wingecarribee River pumped, and contributes to the water supply of Sydney at.
