Winklern at Oberwölz is a municipality with 866 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district or district Murau in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it is the context of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Oberwölz environment, Schoenberg Lachtal and together Oberwölz City, the new community will be called " Oberwölz ".

Geographical Location
Winklern, located about 12 km north-east of Murau.

History
The municipality Winklern was built in 1849 /50.

Economy and infrastructure
According to Census of 2001, there are 11 workplaces with 43 employees in the community as well as 311 commuters and 20 commuters. There are 92 agricultural and forestry holdings ( including 58 in the main acquisition ), which together manage 5,867 ha (as of 1999).

Coat of arms
The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 January 1995. Coat Description: From blue and red by two mutually adjoining silver right angle toppled divided; in the sign of a silver three mountain nested hills, a silver lime tree growing out of the in the upper panel in the form of a tree of life with silver lily on top.
