Winnert

Winnert (Danish: Vinnert ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Winnert is located about ten kilometers southeast of Husum on the treene. Next to the village Winnert include the smaller, outlying districts Autrum, Brehmhöft, Osterwinnert and Winnertfeld to the community.

A large part of the 631 -acre nature reserve Wild Moor at Schwabstedt is located in the municipal area.

Policy

Municipal council

Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community WGW had all eleven seats in the municipal council. By reducing the populations of only nine seats were awarded to in the local elections on 26 May 2013. With a turnout of 55.7 percent this accounted back to the WGW.

The community is predominantly agricultural.
