The Winnipeg Warriors were a Canadian ice hockey franchise in the Western Hockey League in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

History

The Winnipeg Warriors were founded for the 1955/56 season as a franchise in the Western Hockey League. In its premiere season, the team initially took first place in own division in the regular season and won in the playoffs the Lester Patrick Cup, the championship of the WHL. In the following period, the Warriors were unable to build on this success. Only in the season 1957/58 they finished once again took first place in own division in the regular season.

From 1980 to 1984 played an eponymous team in the top junior Western Hockey League.
