Random Viaduct of B88

Template: Infobox River / Obsolete

The random stream is a six kilometer long tributary of the Tame Gera in the Thuringian Forest.

It rises on the northern slope of the 651 meter high mountain Arles, near the hamlet of the same name Gera Berger on Cold Born. His first little valley formed by flowing the random stream in a northeasterly direction. Here are the parish pond, the geese pond and the forest pool Geschwenda, all fed from the random stream. The forest pool Geschwenda, which was the first swimming pool in the GDR, which had a pool made of plastic, is today still very popular because of its quiet location in the forest.

Now the forest and the flat back of the desk-like Geschwendaer mountain thins can be seen in the east. This high land is used for arable farming, the soil here is sandy. The random stream now flows through the place Geschwenda from west to east. Behind the village, the valley becomes narrower and deeper. Here it is spanned by the random Viaduct of the B -88 ring road since August 2002. At the same time the county road from Geschwenda here runs about Angelroda after Neusiß in the valley of the random stream, which is referred to from now on as Hanftal. This name comes from the previously operated hemp cultivation. The valley section is about 70 feet deep here. In addition to a flood retention basins and five fish ponds is also the sewage treatment plant was built in 2004 Geschwendas before the Bach Angelroda reached where he left opens into the Tame Gera against the backdrop of the 26 -meter-high railway viaduct.
