Wisch (Nordfriesland)

Wiping (Danish: Viscosity, Frisian: Wäsk ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Wiper is about twelve kilometers south-east of Husum and five kilometers north-east of Friedrichstadt in a rural environment. South of the village runs the federal highway 202 connects the city with Friedrich Rendsburg. Wiping lies on the border between Geest and Marsh.

Municipal council

Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community WGW all seven seats in the municipal council. In the local elections on 26 April 2013 change took place. The turnout was 53.1 percent.

Mayor

For the election period 2013-2018 Hans -Werner Petersen ( WGW ) was re-elected mayor.
