Wisconsin State Fair

The Wisconsin State Fair is an annual fair in West Allis, Wisconsin in the United States. West Allis is a suburb of Milwaukee. The modern fair takes place regularly in August, sometimes it starts in the last days of July and lasts for eleven days.

History

The first State Fair was held in 1851 in Janesville, Wisconsin and had about 13000-18000 visitors. The show moved between different places until they found in West Allis 1892 their permanent home. According to the organizers attended the event in the year 2010 876.020 visitors. The fair was held in 2011 from August 4 to 14 instead.

Events & Entertainment

For fixed annual repertoire includes many dealers in the various product groups, a wide range of hosting companies with a wide variety of food and drinks. Can still detect good, came the majority of European immigrants from Germany, Poland and Italy in Wisconsin at the culinary offerings. A particular hit the state fair cream puffs are traditionally ( puffs ). For selection of rides include Rainbow Valley 's Freak Out, Spin Out, Super Loops, Kamikaze, Double Shock, Yo - Yo, Sizzler and since 2010 there is the Comet 2 rollercoaster.
