The people across Wengern east to Hagen- porch was added until they are about three years delay, but was then adjusted until June 1, 1986.

On December 1, 1939 met with Witten successive two trains. In this case, 15 people died and 17 others were injured.

On 14 January 2012, the new bus station was opened Witten southeast of the main train station. With his transfer from the grain market to the new location, the connection of the bus network should be improved to the railway network. Until then kept only a portion of the bus routes at Witten Hauptbahnhof.
