Wittenham Clumps

The Wittenham Clumps are a group of hills near the village of 'Little Wittenham ' northeast of Didcot in Oxfordshire.

The name referred to in the strict sense two hills, the so-called 'Castle Hill ' and the 'Round Hill '. The hills rise from the flat valley of the Thames. Archaeological excavations have shown that on the 'Castle Hill ' in the Bronze Age an attachment was created, which was developed in the Iron Age.

Paul Nash has now popular as a lookout hill painted several times.
