Władysław Czartoryski

Prince Władysław Czartoryski ( born July 3, 1828 in Warsaw, † June 23, 1894 in Boulogne -sur- Seine) was a Polish nobleman, political activist, art collector and founder of the Czartoryski Museum in Krakow.

His parents were Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski (1770-1861) and Princess Anna Zofia Sapieha (Anna Sapieha - Kodeńska ) ( 1798-1864 ).

He married on March 1, 1855 Marie Amparo Muñoz y Borbón ( 1834-1864 ) Countess of Vista Alegre, daughter of Fernando Muñoz y Sanchez. From this marriage later Duke Franciszek August Czartoryski came from ( 1858-1893 ).

After the death of Princess Marie Władysław Czartoryski married on January 15, 1872 Marguerite d' Orléans ( 1846-1893 ). From this second marriage the sons of Adam Ludwik Czartoryski (1872-1937) and Witold Kazimierz Czartoryski came from January Philipp ( 1876-1911 ).

Władysław Czartoryski died on June 23, 1894 in Boulogne -sur -Seine and was buried in the family vault in Sieniawa.
