Władysław Frasyniuk

Władysław Frasyniuk ( born November 25, 1954 in Wrocław ) is a Polish politician. He was active in the democratic opposition in the People's Republic of Poland, Member of the Sejm in the I, II and III term, and chairman of the parties Unia Wolności and partia Demokratyczna.

Frasyniuk graduated in 1974 in Breslau the training of the technicians and worked as a bus driver. In 1981 he was elected chairman of Solidarity of the Lower Silesia region. After the proclamation of martial law, he remained in the underground, where he among other things, Chairman of the Tymczasowa Komisja Koordinacyjna ( Provisional Coordination Commission) Solidarity was. In the period 1982-1986 he was because of his underground activities several times in prison, released in 1986 due to an amnesty.

In 1989, he participated as a representative of the Solidarity part in the discussions at the Round Table and 1990 besides Zbigniew Bujak was co-founder of the party Ruch Obywatelski Akcja Demokratyczna ( Citizens' Movement of Democratic Action - ROAD ).

1991-2001 he was a Sejm deputy of the parties Unia Demokratyczna and then the Unia Wolności. In the period 2001-2005 he was chairman of the Unia Wolności and 2005-2006 Chairman of the successor party partia Demokratyczna - demokraci.pl.
