Włodzimierz Stożek

Włodzimierz Stożek ( born July 23, 1883 in Zolkiew; † 3 or July 4, 1941 in Lwów ) ​​was a Polish mathematician of the Lviv mathematicians school.

Stożek studied mathematics at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and at the University of Göttingen. He received his doctorate in 1921 and became head of the Mathematics Department of the University of Lemberg. He was shot on the 3rd or 4th July 1941, shortly after the German invasion, along with his two sons and other Polish professors in Lwów.
