Wojciech Siemion

Wojciech Siemion ( born July 30, 1928 in Krzczonów, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland, † April 24, 2010 in Warsaw) was a Polish actor.

Wojciech Siemion was born in the village Krzczonów, where his father worked as a village school teacher. He made ​​his stage debut in 1946 and studied from 1947 to 1950 law at the Maria Curie - Skłodowska University in Lublin. In 1951 he completed a drama degree at the PWST in Warsaw and received in the same year his first small film role in Załoga Jan Fethke. Two years later he played under the direction of Leonard Buczkowski in Przygoda w Mariensztacie his second role. The film was the first Polish color film. His theater career began more than an acting student at the theater in Kalisz. After his training, he received his first engagement at the Teatr Polski in Szczecin, but returned after one season to Warsaw, where he has since been connected with some theaters. In 1972 he founded the theater Stara Prochownia in Warsaw, where he played and directed. Since 2002, this theater promotes under the name Stara ProchOFFnia young off-theater productions. He has also worked as a teacher at the Warsaw PWST. In the 1960s he became a comedian on in the ensembles and STS Pod EGIDA.

On 22 April 2010 Wojciech Siemion suffered in a car accident near Sochaczew serious injuries, where he died on 24 April 2010.
