Wolfgang Lehmacher

Wolfgang Lehmacher ( born June 4, 1960 in Bonn ) is a German entrepreneur and manager in the field of transport and logistics. He is a partner and managing director for China and India in the Strategy Consulting Corporate Value Associates - CVA.

Career

Lehmacher started its activity in 1980 followed by tasks at Kuehne & Nagel and later acquired by Deutsche Post ASG at the Red Cross. He has held leadership positions at TNT (1991-1999) and La Poste (1999-2010), and was in the period 2003-2005 Managing Director of DPD ( 2003-2005). In his role as President and CEO 2005-2010 Lehmacher realized at the top of GeoPost Intercontinental means of a cooperation partnership model market entry and a flexible, comprehensive, global network. Since then he has developed various new business models and supports companies and institutions worldwide in the field of strategic development and expansion. He was president and CEO of GeoPost Intercontionental SAS and board member at GeoPost, package holding of Groupe La Poste. Last Lehmacher was was responsible for expanding the business operations of GeoPost outside Europe. His responsibilities were the regions of Russia and the CIS countries, Africa, Turkey and the Middle East, Asia and Oceania, and the Americas.

Lehmacher was involved in various initiatives in the courier express parcel industry. These include, among others, the construction of GD Express Worldwide, a joint venture of five postal organizations ( German, French, Dutch, Swedish and Canadian Post) in Germany (1991); furthermore, he was responsible for the German joint venture of German Post and TNT Express Worldwide (1994-1996), for the expansion of TNT Express Worldwide in Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean (1997-1999), for the European expansion of the La Poste (1999-2001), for the integration of the European parcel network DPD in the La Poste group (2001-2005) and for the global expansion of the La Poste parcel business (2005-2010 ).

Lectures

Lehmacher spoke at events organized among others by the World Economic Forum. He spoke about Transforming Urban Transportation, The Asian Consumer: A Sustainability Champion in the Making? and Urbanization: The Unstoppable Global Trend.

Other lectures include the Global Competitiveness Forum in Riyadh, the Boao Forum in China, the Triangle events, the INK Conference in association with TED and the Horasi Global Russia Business Meeting. Furthermore Lehmacher was at the MIT Center of Transportation and Logistics lectures.

Memberships and affiliations

Lehmacher is Managing Director of Shanghai Logistics Entrepreneur Association in China, a member of the Club of Logistics in Germany as well as advocate for the principles of the United Nations Global Compact ( UNGC ) and the ' Partnering Against Corruption Initiative ( PACI ). He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Universal Business School in Karjat, West Indies, the first green Indian Business School. He is also on the advisory board of the aidha in Singapore, the world's first Micro- Business School.
