Wolfram Lorenzen

Wolfram Lorenzen (* Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German pianist.

Wolfram Lorenzen studied with Klaus Linder (Basel), Ludwig Hoffmann ( Munich) and Paul Badura -Skoda. Master classes, among others with Wilhelm Kempff. For various national ( federal selection German Music Council ) and international competitions (Monza, Vercelli, Senigallia and others) went Lorenzen emerged as winners.

1982, the first prize he was awarded at the 6th International Piano Competition in Montevideo / Uruguay. Since then he has toured in 50 different countries on all continents. He has performed with leading orchestras and renowned conductors, said he brought 70 different piano concertos and an extensive solo repertoire and about 400 chamber works for performance.

Wolfram Lorenzen is a guest at the radio stations of the German-speaking countries as well as many festivals as Lucerne, the Salzburger Festspiele, the Festival van Vlaanderen and the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival.

With the clarinetist Sabine Meyer and the flutist Peter- Lukas Graf it combines a long-standing partnership.

The pianist played with the violinist Renate Eggebrecht and Fanny Mendelssohn quartet edition piano chamber music of Max Reger on three CDs. In 1998, the pianist before the CD world premiere recording of the autograph fair copy of the piano cycle "The Year " by Fanny Mendelssohn- Hensel. His CD recordings of piano works by Robert Schumann was published in 2006 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of his death. In 2010 he published a second album with works by Robert Schumann and Clara Schumann.
