Work Order Act

The Act on the regulation of national labor was adopted on January 20, 1934 ( RGBl. 1, pp. 45-56 ) of the Nazi leadership. It regulated the external structure of plants and resulted in the economy, the leader principle.

Significance and consequences

With the entry into force of this Act, the economy was almost brought into line and introduced the Leadership Principle here, after which the supervisor as operator held the absolute power of command and his subordinates as " followers " ( rather than employees) were bound to absolute obedience. Thus, the right and the opportunity to appeal was severely restricted, the right of participation of workers even completely abolished. Force of this Act, the last remaining democratic rights were eliminated within the company.

Although the contractor in turn had a comprehensive intra-corporate authority, however, was in turn bound to commands of the state-appointed " trustee of work" who could give binding orders regarding working hours, wage policies and job design. The actual result of the law to the order of National Labor was for this reason above all is to strengthen the governance and oversight powers of the state at the expense of entrepreneurs and workers.
