World Games 2001

The 6th World Games 2001 were held from August 16 to 26, 2001 in Akita / Japan.

In the competitions of the 31 sports participated 3250 athletes.

The invitational sports were aikido, Beach Handball, Frauentauziehen, gate ball, sumo.
