The World Heavyweight Championship ( to German world heavyweight championship ) was a major wrestling title WWE. The title was one of two World Titles in WWE and was assigned to individual wrestler. Introduced in 2002 on RAW, the title changed mostly due to the WWE Draft also to SmackDown. As in Wrestling common practice was the award after a predetermined storyline.

History

Once it was decided, the last WWE Undisputed Champion Brock Lesnar during the division of the WWE in the two Roster RAW and SmackDown, only to be defended on Smackdown the title still remained RAW without major title. You created it, the World Heavyweight Champion title. The corresponding belt, the World Heavyweight Champion wore as a symbol for the title, was oriented by design, to the former NWA and WCW title belt. The original was used as NWA 1986-1988, 1988-1993 and 1993-2001 as NWA/WCW- as WCW belt. According to the WWE Board of Directors, it was at this belt including the related cover story but an independent from the NWA and WCW Championship.

After the title has been changed several times between shows of WWE and later sharing the WWE was lifted in two roster, he was awarded last in both SmackDown and RAW. At the TLC pay- per-view in 2013, the title was set for a unification match between World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and WWE Champion Randy Orton.
