World League eSport Bundesliga

The World League eSport Bundesliga is a former German e- sports league, which was under the global umbrella brand World League eSport ( WLES ) and the ESBL GmbH belonged. Many former players move to the unofficial successor, the Electronic Sports League, which is now also set.

History

First season

In August 2005, the first season of eSportbundesliga (short ESBL ) started in the disciplines of FIFA 2005 and Counter- Strike and Counter- Strike: Source with a prize of € 45,825. In April 2006 it was announced that the eSportbundesliga from the games Counter- Strike and Counter- Strike: Source separated and simultaneously announced its partnership with the German TV channel Sport TV.

Second season

In the second season, the World League eSport is focusing on sports games. In the second season will be played FIFA 06. It is paid to the players of the second ESBL - season prize money of € 50,000. On the occasion of ESBL Arcor has established a work team named Team Arcor Electric Eleven. On August 23, 2006, Hertha BSC announced that they have taken with Javkhlan Tahery Boeini a player of the World League eSport Bundesliga under contract. Besides Arcor and Hertha BSC also belonging to the ITM Technology AG, AEG and Hagenuk own factory teams. The ITM Techonolgy teams have started as a partnership with The Phone House and ElectronicScout24 and have also launched the so-called eSports hagenuk M128 mobile phone. Other works teams represent the company and CineStar Comunio.

ESport Bundesliga every Tuesday at 17:30 clock on DSF - Since August 22, 2006 also ran screen-shot. screen-shot was the only regular e-sports show on German Free TV except on weekends at 22:00 clock running on GIGA e-sports broadcasts. League structure

The World League eSport Bundesliga has been oriented in their league structure at the Bundesliga. In each League participate 18 players. The games of the 1st Bundesliga will be held at CineStar IMAX in the Sony Center in Berlin.
