World Scout Bureau

The World Scout Bureau is one of three principal organs of the World Scout Organization World Organization of the Scout Movement ( WOSM ). It acts on behalf of the World Scout Conference and the World Scout Committee.

Organization

The premises of the World Scout Bureau are located in Geneva, Switzerland, with regional offices in six regions around the world: Africa Region ( Nairobi, Kenya), Arab Region ( Cairo, Egypt ), Asia- Pacific Region (Manila in the Philippines ), European region ( Geneva, Switzerland ), Inter- American region (Santiago de Chile) and Eurasia region ( Yalta Gurzuf in Ukraine). The World Scout Bureau is headed by the Secretary General, who is supported by a small group of technical personnel.

Function

The office helps Scout associations with specialized training to improve and expand their Scouts work. The training shall do so on both main and volunteers. The focus is on the production of sound fiscal policy and monetary enhancement techniques to improve the Association's work and practices, as well as assistance in the procurement of national land resources for Scouting. The staff of the office to arrange global events and the so-called World Scout Jamborees, encourage regional events and work as a liaison between the Scouting movement and other international organizations. A major effort in emerging countries is the expansion of the general good deeds in an organization-wide effort to expand the company's development.
