The Woronora River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales.
Geography
The river rises north of Darkes Forest From there it flows north and empties in Como and Illawong in the Georges River.
Reservoir
At the upper reaches is Lake Woronora, which is part of the drinking water supply of Sydney.
River crossings
In Woronora a high bridge, a low road bridge and a pedestrian bridge cross the river. In the Heathcote Road bridge over the Heathcote Road connects this district with Holsworthy.
In Engadine, near the Woronora Road there is the bridge The Needles, the vermittlelt the transition to Barden Bridge. It is, however, closed to cars.
