Wout Poels
Wouter Poels ( born October 1, 1987 in Venray ) is a Dutch racing cyclist.
Wout Poels began his career in 2006 at the Dutch Continental Team Fonda - P3Transfer. In his second year there, he was tenth overall in the Vuelta a Extremadura. In the 2008 season Poels was, among other third parties in Rund um Düren and at the Volta Ciclista Internacional a Lleida. In the Vuelta Ciclista a León he won the overall title for themselves.
In the 2012 Tour de France he crashed hard. He retired to cracks in the spleen and kidney and a lung contusion. However, the end of September 2012, he was able to start training again.
