X (Australian band)

X was an Australian punk band.

History

X was founded in Sydney in 1977. The focus of the band was the lead singer and bassist Ian Rilen. Since the band several times separated and reunited, there were several occupations. Of the musicians who played on Rilens side, especially guitarist Steve Lucas and drummer Cathy Green are known which also played most of the time in the band.

Despite the many changes in the occupation of a central style has emerged. This is mainly influenced by Rilens loud and powerful bass and Lucas virtuoso guitar playing that hovers over everything.

Rilen tattoo was by other projects, such as Sardine v or rose known. Even at the age of well over 50, he stood on the stage and celebrated his rock & roll lifestyle. However, cancer in the summer of 2006 he found and in October 2006 he finally died.
