X Factor is a music talent show, which aired from 2010 to 2012 by members of the RTL Group TV channel VOX. It is the German version of the developed and produced by Simon Cowell British talent show The X Factor.
The German edition was produced by Grundy Light Entertainment GmbH and presented by host Jochen Schropp. In the first two seasons of 2010 and 2011, the jury consisted of three people, in the third season in 2012 there were four members of the jury. The only represented in all three seasons juror was the singer Sarah Connor. In December 2012, it was announced that they do not stand for a fourth season available.
The first season won in November 2010, the Swiss Edita Abdieski, the second season decided in December 2011, the Duisburg police officer David Pepper for themselves. The third season won the duo Mrs. Green Bird in November 2012.

Jury
In the first season of Sarah Connor, Till Bronner and George Glueck sat on the jury. In the second season in 2011 George Glueck was replaced by Bo. H. P. 2012, there were next to Sarah Connor Baxxter, Sandra Našić and Moses Pelham in the jury. In December 2012, Sarah Connor and Moses Pelham gave each announced that they will no longer sit in the 2013 X-Factor judges.
Expiration
Content of the talent show was to discover a talent for singing, whose talent is referred to as "X Factor" by the organizing television station. As profit a contract with the record company Sony Music was awarded. A Season four phases, the " casting", "Boot Camp ", "Jury House " and " Live Shows " covered were named. The candidates were divided into three or four categories. Each jury member took over one of the categories as a mentor to the candidate until the end of the season. In the casting phase, all candidates had to sing on a stage before an audience and jury. The circle of Next comers was reduced in the common boot camp phase again. The third phase, the jury house followed, in which each mentor picked his best candidates, with whom he has competed in the subsequent live shows against the other participants. The remaining participants present at the live shows, songs, most of which were selected by the mentor. In the live shows of the first two seasons, respectively, the two candidates with the fewest viewer votes had a self-selected song present in a so-called vocal duel, after which the jury decided by a simple majority, which progressed the two. Among the best three participants - in the third season, however, under all Live Show participants - given only the audience about the next round and the winner.
Season 1
Although the Media Group RTL Germany had acquired the rights to " The X Factor " according to Entertainment at RTL chief Tom Sänger in 2006, she produced her first season until 2010. To attract viewers, the first two shows were shown on 20 and 21 August 2010 on the wide coverage of RTL. The remaining episodes were shown on VOX. Candidate overview
First phase: The Audition
For casting were about 19,000 applicants in one of three categories. After the end of the auditions, the categories were assigned to the jurors as follows:
- Solo singers 16-24 years: mentor Sarah Connor
- Solo singers aged 25 and over: Mentor Till Bronner
Second phase: The Boot Camp
Around 120 acts made it to the second phase of X-Factor. Each jury member in charge of the three categories and their participants as a mentor along with a well-known musician. For this was the singer Sarah Connor Larsito Culcha Candela aside, Till Bronner was by music producer Mousse T. and George Glueck of the former " Destiny 's Child " member Kelly Rowland support. A total of 18 acts, six per juror, secured a place in the jury house.
Third phase: The Jury House
In the third phase, each of the mentors from the six remaining participants in its category selected the three best participants who should compete for him in the live shows. While producer George Glueck received his candidate as a mentor in Berlin, the Jury House phase of Sarah Connor in Barcelona and the place of Till Bronner in Rome found. In this phase were Larsito, Mousse T. and Adel Tawil present as prominent advisors.
Fourth stage: The Live Shows
A total of nine participants occurred in the eight live shows, in each show had to leave a candidate X-Factor. In the course of each singer had to sing up to three songs per show. In the last live broadcast to Edita Abdieski prevailed before the meantime traded as a favorite group Big Soul.

Candidate overview
First phase: The Audition
The castings were recorded from April to May 2011 in Cologne, Munich and Berlin. There were more than 25,000 applicants in one of three categories 16 - to 24 -year-old, 24 -year-old as well as groups and duets on.
Second phase: The Super Bootcamp
Around 160 participants made it to the second phase of X Factor. In the so-called Super Bootcamp candidates in each category in Dusseldorf was originally brought against each other. Within each category, the candidates had the same song a cappella perform: The 16 - to 24 -year-olds were singing Born This Way by Lady Gaga, the over- 24 -year-old True Colors by Cyndi Lauper and the groups Could It Be Magic by Take That. The jury decided to move in which 24 candidates in one of the judges houses. After the end of the Super Boot Camps, the categories were assigned to the jurors as follows:

- Solo singers aged 25 and over: Mentor Till Bronner
- Groups and duets: mentor Sarah Connor
Third phase: The Jury House
In the third phase, each of the mentors from the remaining eight participants in its category selected the four best participants who should compete for him in the live shows. While Till Bronner received his candidate in Scotland, the jury house phase took place from Bo in Hamburg. Sarah Connor received the groups and duets in Berlin. In this phase, Mimi Westernhagen, the former Spice Girl Melanie C and Jason Derulo were present as prominent advisors.
Fourth stage: The Live Shows
As in the first season took place eight live shows in which time a total of twelve candidates occurred. In the first and fifth transfer two Acts had to leave the show, in the other five items before the final show each one. In the eighth show of the winner was determined between three finalists. In the first six items, the jury selected by the so-called vocal duel each other act from. Among the four candidates in the last two live shows only selected viewers. In the final mission won the Duisburg police officer David Pfeffer. From the second live show he had decided each phone vote of live shows for itself.

Season 3
The jury of the third season consisted of pop singer Sarah Connor, the scooter - member HP Baxxter, music producer Moses Pelham and singer Sandra Našić. Moderator was like in the first two seasons Jochen Schropp. The number of categories was increased from three to four, with the 16- to -24 -year-olds were divided by gender. In the category of singing groups and bands this time were admitted. The broadcast of the third season began on 25 August 2012 in RTL; the remaining episodes until the final show on 25 November 2012 were originally broadcast on VOX.
Candidate overview
First phase: The Audition
The castings were recorded from April to June 2012 in Berlin, Dortmund, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart. It was attended by about 24,000 candidates in four categories: 16- to -24 -year-old women, 16 - to -24- year-old men, over- 24 -year-old and music groups participate. Casting The participants came to the next round if they received at least three of the four jury votes. Third phase: The Jury House
In the third phase, each of the four mentors from the remaining participants in its category chose those three candidates, which should occur in the live shows. While Sarah Connor and HP Baxxter received their candidates on Ibiza, the jury house phase of Moses Pelham took place in Cologne. Sandra nasic received the groups and bands in Berlin.
Fourth stage: The Live Shows
As in the second season, twelve candidates in the live shows, but this time the winner was determined in only four shows, which took place on 4 November until 25 November 2012. In the first two live shows the candidates occurred within their four mentor groups against each other, with one participant was eliminated per group. From each mentor group a candidate reached the third live show in which three candidates qualified for the final show. In all the live shows only the audience decided the next round of candidates; the jury had only their mentors and advisory activities in this phase.
