The X-Trail Jam is a snowboard competition, which is organized annually since 1999 in Japan at the Tokyo Dome. It is equipped with 75,000 visitors ( 2005), the largest event in snowboard area and one of the most important competitions of the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour.

Description

The X-Trail Jam is a 6 -star contest of Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour ( TTR) and related points for the drivers alongside other 6 -star events most valuable. The winner will receive 1,000 TTR points which are important in relation to the World Cup. The focus of the events are the Big Air ( straight jump ) and the quarter-pipe, which will be held at the Tokyo Dome, the largest hall in Japan, which can accommodate a total of more than 100,000 spectators. The competition is being planned by the Swiss snowboard legend Reto Lamm from Pontresina together with the sponsors from Japan and coordinated. He has lifted this largest indoor snowboard event in the world with out baptism and, authoritative influenced by his contacts in the global snowboard scene. The result of the occasion is the time by a collaboration of Reto Lamm with Nippon TV and Nissan. Reto Lamm was the first winner of the Air & Style Contest in Innsbruck (now Munich), ISF World Champion 1995 in the halfpipe. Today, he is also president of the Ticket -to -Ride Organization ( TTR), which was also raised by the initiative of him and some helpers from the scene as well as friends in Switzerland from the baptism. The car brand Nissan is the main sponsor and invested unusually high sums in the contest, which is now the largest of its kind in the world. The specially developed to host the steel frame on which the ramp, jump and landing area are 38 feet high and was co-developed by Reto Lamm. The Japanese entertainment industry incorporating the latest technologies, thus making the event a for the sport unusually celebrated climax. Several giant screens, laser shows, pyrotechnics and LED installations fit the course in the Japanese entertainment standard. In Japan enjoys snowboarding in comparison to the traditional sports an exceptional status in the sport and is revered extraordinary. The X-Trail Jam is therefore permanently sold out completely for several years.
