Xavier Perrot

Xavier Perrot ( born February 1, 1932 in Zurich, † December 8, 2008 ) was a Swiss racing driver.

Xavier Perrot operation in Switzerland, a car repair shop and drove as a private car racing. In the 1969 season he was at the Grand Prix of Germany at the Nürburgring at the start. Due to the length of the Nordschleife, the field of Formula 1 car was filled with cars of Formula 2. Perrot, who used his private Brabham BT23C, was tenth in the overall standings and fifth in the Formula 2 class.

In 1971, he was driving a March 701, which belonged to his compatriot Jo Siffert Jochen Rindt at the Memorial Trophy at Hockenheim and then turned away from the race track to drive hillclimb. He was very successful and was a 1972 March 722 Formula 2 racing car to win the European Hill Climb Championship.
