Xavier Yombandje

François -Xavier Yombandje ( born July 9, 1956 in Koumra ) is retired bishop of Bossangoa.

Life

François -Xavier Yombandje received on 22 September 1985, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 28 June 1997 to the Bishop of Kaga - Bandoro.

The Archbishop of Bangui, Joachim N'Dayen, consecrated him on 26 October of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Matthias N'Gartéri Mayadi, Bishop of Moundou, and Edouard Mathos, Auxiliary Bishop of Bangui.

On 3 April 2004 he was appointed Bishop of Bossangoa. From his office he resigned on 16 May 2009, after an investigation of the Vatican revealed that many local priests had violated their vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. A few weeks later, just joined the archbishop of Bangui, Paulin Pomodimo back.
