XDR DRAM (English extreme data rate dynamic random access memory ) is a species of memory, which is used, inter alia, in the PlayStation 3. It is based on Rambus RDRAM and is available with synchronous and DDR DRAM in the competition.

Performance

  • Clock rate of 400 MHz. (600 MHz, 800 MHz and 1 GHz planned)
  • Octal Data Rate ( ODR): eight data bits per clock give 3.2 Gb / s at 400 MHz.
