Xentrix

Xentrix was a thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire, England. The music contained some mid-tempo passages and characterized by a melodious song, comparable with Exodus. The texts were often influenced socially critical.

History

Xentrix received some attention by Ray Parker Jr. cover Ghostbusters and the unauthorized use of the movie logo in the artwork. The single was subsequently re-released with a new cover. In Germany the band in 1990 with Annihilator and Despair was on the way. That about the same time published album For Whose Advantage? contained a cover of Townes written by Colin Ian Gillan songs Running, White Face, City Boy.

Following the publication of the partially melody accented failed Kin album in 1992 and a European tour with Tankard, the band split. In 1996 it came with Scourge to a brief restart. In this case, the new vocalist Simon Gordon and Andy Rudd replaced on guitar Chris Astley.

In early 2006, Xentrix reformed for a few gigs in the UK, but was held in September of that year, the redissolution known.

In 2013 the band was back together to work on a new album.
