Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation
The Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation or Xi'an Aircraft Company, short XAC, Chinese西安 飞机 工业 集团, is a Chinese aircraft manufacturer based in Xi'an and part of the consortium Avici. The company founded in 1958, employs more than 20,000 employees.
Xi'an Aircraft produced predominantly military aircraft for the Chinese Air Force and the Navy and civilian transport aircraft. Since 1980, XAC is a supplier for Western clients, including Boeing and Airbus. In addition, the company manufactures buses, facade elements, and other products.
Investments
Since autumn 2009, Xi'an Aircraft holds the majority ( 91.25 %) in the Upper Austrian aircraft supplier FACC.
