Xie Xuren

Xie Xuren (Chinese谢 旭 人; * October 1947 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province) since August 30, 2007 Minister of Finance of the People's Republic of China.

Life

In 1967 he began his work in Ningbo Zhenhai Maschinenfabrik. First, as a skilled worker, he was there later to the department manager and finally as Deputy Director. In June 1980 he joined the Communist Party of China. He studied from 1981 at the Zhejiang University to focus Economics where he graduated in 1984. 1984-1985 was appointed at the court of the district Yinxian Xie Xuren official. Subsequently he was Director of Planning and Economic Commission of Zhejiang Province.

From 1990, he headed the Budget Office of the Ministry of Finance, where he was appointed Vice-Minister in 1995. In this position, Xie Xuren remained until 1998 when he became president of the Agricultural Development Bank of China. In 2000, he joined the post against a deputy secretary in the Communist Party. At the same time he was Vice Minister of the Central Working Committee of Finance. In 2003 he became director of the State Tax Administration. On 30 August 2007, Xie Xuren successor Jin Renqing.
