The Xie Chi or Xiechi Lake (Chinese解 池, English Xiechi Lake ), which is also called Yuncheng Yanchi ( " Yuncheng salt lake " ), or earlier Hedong Yanchi ( " Hedong salt lake " ), is the largest lake in Shanxi. He is a saltwater lake and Grabenbruchsee ( Riftsee ). It lies at the northern foot of the mountain Zhongtiao Shan south of Yuncheng in southwestern Shanxi Province of China. The lake is famous for its salt production, the so-called Xie salt ( Xieyan ). She has a very long history.
