Xinzheng

Xinzheng (Chinese新郑 市/新郑 市, pinyin Xinzheng Shì ) is a county -level city in central China's Henan Province. It belongs to the administrative territory of the prefecture-level city of Zhengzhou. Xinzheng has an area of ​​873 km ² and has 630,000 inhabitants ( end of 2005).

History

Xinzheng is considered as the origin of the Han Chinese. It was the headquarters of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC, which is the beginning of a United China. The word Qin (秦) is considered as the origin for the name "China".

Xinzheng is also the birthplace of Bai Juyis, a poet of the Tang Dynasty

Education

In Xinzheng most foreign teachers in the People's Republic of Sias International University are. The university has 14,000 students and 90 foreign teachers.

Dragon

A 29.9 m high and 21 km long marble and concrete dragon was built by private investors close to the city on a hill chain of Shizu Mountain. The hollow tail of the dragon is 9 m high and 6 m wide, and in him is an electric tourist train ride, also there are restaurants, shops, spa and luxurious clubs. The outer skin should be equipped with 5.6 million bronze scales, which should be available for the 56 ethnic groups of People's Republic.
