Xochitepec is a 99.13 km ² large municipality and town of the same name in the Mexican state of Morelos. The congregation had in the last survey in 2005, a total of 53 368 inhabitants, of which 16,627 was attributable to the city. History

The name comes from the Nahuatl Xochitepec and is composed of the words Xochi ( flower), Tepe ( hill ) and -c ( in, on ) together and therefore means something like "On the hill of flowers ."

Within the community of Xochitepec is the pre-Columbian archaeological site - Zazacatla, which was declared a cultural heritage of Morelos in 2007 and through which the community is hoping a larger tourism trend.
